Popular local outlet Woody's Sandwich Shoppe will be closing in Cherngtalay (at the entrance of Laguna Phuket) on December 15th.

Skyrocketing lease rates have led to the decision to look for a new home.

Owner Woody Leonard is currently looking for a new location in the Kamala area, so if anyone knows of a location - email him at woody@khunwoody.com.

Will be a sad loss for the neighborhood, as I've enjoyed many lattes and meals at the eatery.

Very sorry to see you leave our neighborhood Woody! Even though I am unfortunately not surprised that the landlord there would actually raise the rent under current economic conditions, it is still shocking. Hope to visit you on occasion then in Kamala.

I grab a take-away at Chalong 3 or so times a week! Very nice!

It's been a great four years, but sadly time to move on.
I'm very happy to report that all of our staff will be staying with us - either in the new Sandwich Shoppe Kamala (location to be announced), or relocating to the Shoppes in Patong or Chalong.
We're also scheduled to move to our new digs in Chalong in the next couple of weeks. Final touches are in progress. It'll be right around the corner from the current Sandwich Shoppe Chalong - same landlord, in the new Fisherman's Mall - much larger, and we'll have a KidZone there, too.
