Longtime Phuket town (now city) eatery and lounge bar Gitano is back, but this time they've moved north. Miguel Kirjon and wife Lin are set to open the newest incarnation of the popular spot east of the Heroines monument just a few minutes drive from the circle going towards Cape Yamu.
Running into Miguel a few weeks ago at Envision Wine Bar he was extremely enthusiastic about the latest venture which is open for lunch and dinner; while certainly it's a welcome (back) addition to the island eating, drinking or just hanging out scene.

Waiting for the Big Sleep
My family and I went to the opening of Gitano last Sunday, and were delighted to find ourselves in a wonderfully colourful bar and restaurant with a play room for the kids. Miguel and Lin as always offered up some very good food, and I got to see some people I hadn't seen for years. I look forward to going there again soon, and the kids love it too! I wish Miguel and Lin all the success for the future.
