Virgin Blue offshoot V Australia is set to commence direct twice-weekly flights between Phuket and Brisbane in November and weekly flights from Melbourne the airline announced today. V Australia the full service carrier of Virgin Blue.
V Australia launched a long haul expansion this year with flights to Los Angeles and will add in service to South Africa next year. The airline has won kudos for their innovative business class bar lounge and lie flat beds in premium class.
Australian tourist traffic in 2009 has been on the wane with a redirect of demand to Bali but these flights are expected to add increase numbers.
