Growing Vietnam destination Danang has seen it's first casino open with the 800 square meter Crowne International Casino. Located on a 20 hectare mixed use site development Silver Shores International Resort is a 5 star 584 room resort along with pool villas; which will see 270 keys soft open in January.
Gambling will only be for foreigners and non-resident Vietnamese and continues to be controversial with the Government still straddling the fine line between market liberalization and social concerns.
Direct air service is set to see new direct flights to Guangzhou and Danang in 2010, thus the casino is targeting the mainland China market.
