One of Malaysia's up and coming mega tourist attractions Arab City will be soft opening early this year in Melaka.
The Middle Eastern themed development is broken down into a Bazaar, Egyptian Museum, Oasis, Arabian Cafes and Restaurant and a Moroccan inspired spa.
In 2010 Malaysia had 24.5 million tourist arrivals, though cross border trade with Singapore accounted for approximately 13 million.
Increasing the national footprint for tourism the destination has continued to prove popular with a rising Middle East market.
Direct flights by AirAsia from Iran have proven popular in stimulating a new market to the country.
One of this year's most touted new arrivals in Asia will be the opening of Legoland Malaysia by the end of 2012
