Call it the B & B effect but British nationals comprise the largest expatriate work forces on the island
According to the Provincial Labor Office and reported by the Phuket Gazette there is a mash up of nationalities in the 'others' category which is 37% of total foreign workers.
Next up is the UK weighing in with 16%, and the unlikely trio of the US, France and Philippines all with 6% respectively.
This is followed by Australia, Italy, Russia, Korea and Sweden.
At the time the data was released there was a total of 6,497 work permits issued.
