The inaugural International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) will be held at the Venetian Macau from June 8-10. The organizers also operate similar events in Europe and for those wanting details can visit www.ihig-asiapacific.com . thephuketinsider.com is serving on the advisory board and will also be moderating a hotel investment session on buying, selling or holding or hospitality assets in the current economic climate.

A wide range of global hotel chains, institutional investors and consultants will be speaking including names such as Four Seasons, Marriott International, Hyatt, ACCOR, Dusit, Jumeirah, Shangri La and MGM. In challenging times like this it's interesting to see shifts in business models and events such as this help keep a finger on the pulse of what's happening not only in Phuket but in the larger regional and global picture.
