As worker ant's assemble and disassemble barricades at Bangkok's Chulalongkorn hospital - red, yellows and those from every color continue to trade punches and counter punch quotes, tweets and twitters in the overanxious media circus.

Rumors of Thaksin's death had taken on dead Elvis proportions and 99% of the country stands on the sideline like some B team extra's waiting for the grand finale scene.

Political pundit and that forth wiseman John Stewart came up with the meth lab quote when describing the political debacle in Arizona back of its recent legal rulings on the questioning of Hispanics. Perhaps it appropriate to play it forward to today in Thailand's daily docudrama called democracy in motion.

Truth is always stranger than fiction and the weird science going on 24/7 in the dysfunctional national laboratory continues to haunt the front pages and breaking news on TV, newspapers and the internet across the world.

Gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson had it right in the book Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail when he cried out in anguish " How long, O Lord...How long? Where will it end?"

I can't answer that question and from the looks of it, no one else can for the moment.

As travel warnings mount, cancellation rise and tourism continues to reel from a sucker punch blow, all we can do is maybe take a moment and dwell on the lyrics of Pink Flood -

"So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,

blue skies from pain.

Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?

A smile from a veil?

Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?

Hot ashes for trees?

Hot air for a cool breeze?

Cold comfort for change?

And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.

We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,

Running over the same old ground.

What have you found? The same old fears.

Wish you were here."

Yes for the moment that what's all we can do is wish they were here.
