Phuket's current spate of tourism success has much to do about a sustained pattern of steadily increasing airlift.
A new notable addition to this is the news that Thai Smile will commence flights between the island to Chiang Mai and Bangkok from October 1st.
Thai Smile is the new under carrier of national airline Thai Airways International.
Flights to Bangkok will take off and land at Suvarnabhumi airport.
