While this could be good news or bad news for travelers out there, the AoT (Airports of Thailand) has updated it's expansion program for Suvarnabhumi which is now set to finish in three years.
Previously it had planned a 2017 due date, but given both political and commercial pressure, the gateway facility is pushing ahead at a greater pace.
The second phase of the development will push up capacity from the existing 45 million to 60 million.
Of course as in Phuket where the delayed process could make the island airport dead on arrival with it's snail paced renovation plans; Suvarnabhumi will likely surpass 52 million passengers this year.
Looking like AoT needs to take on a Super-Size Me plan versus one that could end up being DoA.
