Media and social networks are blazing on rumors that Apple will be releasing an iPad mini later this year.

While the current iPad has a 9.7-inch screen, a new version is being speculated at with just 7-inches.

Given the popularity of the Samsung Galaxy tabled in Thailand the smaller price and size would grow the market. Supposedly the new iPad mini would be half the cost of the existing one.

China is being hailed as the production line for the new product but whether it's truth or dare, it's too early to say.

One thing for sure is the gap between the table and the smartphone just keeps getting narrower.
