Canadian entrepreneur Daniel McDaniel has announced plans for a 50 rai THB 900 million aquarium and marine theme park in southern Phuket's Rawai area.

With a master planned phased development the first tranche will include an aquarium and marine zoo targeting an opening within 2012.

Construction is expected to take 120 days and work is currently underway on government approvals.

The enterprise under Phuket Ocean Front Co., Ltd. is currently planning additional facilities including as hotel for a second phase

Please leave Rawai alone ]I have no problem with tourism,we already have a nice eco freindly Aquariam nearby in Cape Panwa,not so far away..leave Rawai as it is,to the fishrmen and sea gypseys, if you want to do something to help,,, ..preserve there cuture..not some pie in the sky idea.
