A new announcement from Thai Airways International will see the airline slash domestic ticket prices could be a shot across the bow of low cost carriers.
New fares are set to come into place on the new season schedule which will go into effect from March 15th until September 30th.
A 30% reduction is expected along with a frequent flyer bonus of double mileage points for Royal Orchid Plus members.
Thai's stated ambition is to obtain over 50% domestic market share, which has dropped sharply over recent year and the entry of many low cost carriers .
