Thailand's Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij has expressed concerns that the countries political uncertainty may continue well into the future as reported in the local press.

Many political analysts are pointing to the upcoming Supreme Court Ruling on deposed Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's THB 76 billon assets, which could be seized.

The last round of hearings are set for mid early January and final judgment by the following month. The first month of 2010 looks to be a rocky road for the current Thai administration and certainly all eyes will be on Bangkok.

With tourism well on the fast track of recovery, the reminders of the last red shirt incidents are still fresh in the memory of most.
