Phuket's Jan/Feb International Arrivals Up 27%

Soaring numbers of international arrivals for Phuket in January and February tallied in at a 27.29% increase over the same two months in 2010.

Total arrivals at Phuket International Airport including both overseas and domestic passengers stood at 833,350.

January incoming traffic was 420,021 and February 413,329.

Arrivals from where?? kindly clarify please since Phuket is very quiet, hardly tourists now and i can only see d same situation, if not worse than 2010 at least when talking about investment and new projects launching in d island, moreover airport is a disaster, no news at all regarding d new terminal, things delay as usual in d Kingdom, hope for better times soon, if not neighbouring countries such as Vietnam and Indonesia getting d tourists/ investors there ...Rafael/ 20 years here... Numbers are numbers, and yes there are indeed more arrivals. But also more hotels and a bigger catchment of residents, and Greater Phuket. The airport is indeed progressing along and for now tourism remains volume based.
