No matter where you look these days, wires are increasingly becoming a visual spider web on the island.
Press reports are in that the Phuket Provincial Electrical Authority commencing the second phase of their underground cabling project in the historic district in Phuket town.
While the move is a positive the work comes at a time when the greatest volume of lines are emerging throughout the island in resort and residential areas.
Not only are these creating visual pollution but the infrastructure needed to cope with the island's expanding population does not seem to be a high agenda item for the government.
End of the day tourist's don't visit Phuket to view the tangled mess of wires that grow by the day from North to South and East to West.
