Longtime local expat Richard Cracknell has died in Hawaii.
Reported by the Phuket Gazette, Cracknell who was 66 was being cared for by his son.
He left Phuket for the US as a result of MND disease which eventually led to further health complications.
Richard was a familiar face at local triathlon races, practiced as a chiropractor and ran health food outlets in Nai Harn for many years.

While John Hardy and his Ubud Green School and Green Village have been at the groundswell of sustainable building materials, the area has sprouted other pioneering initiatives.
