The Phuket Gazette has reported that island-based website HotelTravel.com has been sold for USD25 million.
In a transaction which reportedly includes USD15 million in cash and USD10 in shares.
Indian OTA (online travel agency) MakeMyTrip.com is reportedly the buyers.
This is now the second large dot com sale of a website developed locally, with the first being AsiaWebDirect (Phuket.com) to Australian OTA Wotif a few years ago.
