According to a recent report by The Nation, the THB 2.6 billion Phuket International Convention and Exhibition Center is moving ahead.

Located in Mai Khao (Tah Chat Chai) area on 150 rai the project has been approved under a stimulus package by the Government.

The funding mechanism has been given the green light by the Cabinet this year in anticipation of the project's EIA (environmental impact assessment) report.

I thought the project was temporarily suspended due to govt graft charges investigation.

According to the Government agency in charge of the project the EIA is moving ahead and project has been restarted.
