Pattaya's tourism development master planning process has dismissed proposals for a monorail transport system.
The public organization DASTA (Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism) has taken over the mandate for researching a new long term plan for sustainable tourism.
Key issues being addressed including transport, beach preservation, environmental impact and infrastructure including waste management.
The end game is expected to be implemented in changes to zoning regulations, promotion of mega projects and going green.
