This morning's tsunami alert has created substantial concerns from tourists and residents alike after the aborted alarm has been halted. Reports in both the Thai media and evacuations of resorts in both Phuket and Khao Lak created some chaotic moments. While the crises has passed there are a number of questions remaining about the islands disaster readiness and ability to cope with wide scale public safety.
