Arrivals at Phuket International Airport have increased 11% year-on -year for the period of January though the end of May 2012.

International passengers arriving to the island increased 13% with domestic arrivals growing 9%.

Total passenger traffic at PIA for the first five months of the year stood at 4,115,231.

Phuket is expected to easily eclipse the 9 million passenger mark by year end.
