NEWS FLASH Andaman Travel Trade Fair At Central Festival

Good news on where to go this weekend as the 4th Annual Andaman Travel Trade Fair is on at Central Festival this Saturday and Sunday. There are over 100 booths with participants from the Greater Phuket region including the island, Phang Nga, and Krabi.

The show is not only aimed at overseas tourists and agents but also for locals looking to get deals on travel to nearby getaways.

I went on Sunday afternoon, nobody at all at the booth except Air Asia booth.

Bill Barnett responds: Think it was the nice sunny summer weather we had. One thing they do right in Bangkok for Thai Tour Thai is they target domestic consumers and do this before school holidays in April/May, they sell hotel deals and its a great draw, everyone wants a discount so this might be a good tactic for Phuket in terms of a tangible event.
