Thailand's National Disaster Warning Centre has issued a tsunami warning for the Andaman Coast including Phuket. This falls on the heels of a 7.8-magnitude earthquake which hit Indonesia's Sumatra island this morning at 5:12 am. Residents and visitors have been advised to monitor local news sources for an update on the alert.
