NEWS ALERT Phuket Governor Petitioned To Ban Tuk-Tuks

The growing conflict over illegal taxi's and tuk-tuks is seeing action taken by a group for residents and tourists who have called on the Phuket Governor to ban tuk-tuk's. Currently in circulation on the web is a petition which can be viewed at http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/tuk-tuk

Currently at the time of writing there are 238 people who have signed the initiative.

hope so bill, lot more problems posted yesterday in the gazette,lets hope poeple power starts working and start signing this petition.ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS, this to me is the only way forward also send copies to the pm, as the directive for this to work has.

if we start now maybe something can be done soon. there are many options to this problem that can only be solved by the goveror convening with, all the parties involved. lets get involved.

Tuk tuk's simply need to be controlled, not removed, they MUST be metered and NOT allow to simply take over parking on every street corner that are NOT reserved by the local government, it is simply unacceptable to allow this lawlessness in such a beautiful community to continue. Why would Phuket allow their beautiful island to be held hostage by a few hundred people
