One of Bangkok's main transportation arteries the BTS Skytrain has suspended service this morning after suspected red shirt protestors placed tires on the tracks at Chidlom station.
Officials concerned about public safety have shut down all stations. For updates on the closure travelers can monitor the BTS website at BTS.co.th which has information posted in English and Thai.
UPDATE - The BTS has just announced the reopening of the Silom and Sukhumvit lines as of 1000 am this morning until 800 pm this evening.
