Cultural tourism icon Luang Prabang is about to see a significant rise in airlift as Thai Smile starts flying to the destination.
The route has long been a foothold for Lao Airlines and Bangkok Airways, with the two using an ATR-72 turboprop aircraft.
Thai Smile will deploy an Airbus A320-200 on the route, which will take advantage of the destination's upgraded airport facility.
