For many local residents driving along the bypass road looking east past the former Chevrolet sales center the sight of large construction cranes have left them perplexed.
Word is in that the superstructure under development is the THB2 billion baht Siam Niramit Phuket.
It's being built by a Bangkok group who own the Siam Niramit cultural showcase in the nation's capital.
According to recent news reports the property sits on a 57 rai site and will include a theater with seating for over 1,700 people. There will be a themed Thai village, extensive retail outlets, large lake with a floating market and accompanying infrastructure for moving large contingent of tourist buses.
The company is expecting to open the attraction with the year.
