Island life always conjures up strong images with the gentle sounds of waves, paved by solitary footprints on endless stretches of white sand beaches and capping it off with a rest under a nearby coconut tree in a swaying hammock.

Koh Lanta's Jumbo Hammock has tapped into that psyche with a full offering of handmade tropical hammocks for swingers.

Back of defined social conscience the hand weaving is done by the Mlabri Hill Tribe in North Thailand. The group was once nomadic but due to continued deforestation the pressure on traditional life has been increasingly difficult.

The venture with Jumbo Hammock has brought in new opportunities for self sufficiency for the group.
