Recently shuttered Hung Fat's Restaurant in Kalim is set to become an arts and culture center back of a venture by the offspring of renowned Phuket artist John Underwood.

The new venue will reportedly cater to art exhibitions, performances and film along with other events.

Underwood is well regarded for his iconic metal sculptures that appear in hotels such as Indigo Pearl and has collaborated with leading designer Bill Bensley on a number of projects.
