If you want to see the power of the emerging Mainland China market look no further then Hong Kong and the recent weeklong Golden holiday including National Day. According to the Hong Kong Tourist Association (HKTA) more then half a million tourists came to the SAR during this time which represented a 16% increase from 2008. Viewing the coming few years as greater travel is on the horizon for the Mainland Chinese the sheer volume has virtually every regional market in Asia trying to tap what they consider the emerging mother lode.
