FACEBOOK Good News More Read Than Bad News

For those of us in Thailand as of recent times finding good news has continued to be a daily struggle. A recent media survey by HubSpot concluded that positive news is shared though Facebook more than negative news by 30%.

Further boosting of popularity included "sexual content" (no surprise there), "how to pieces" (combine this with the former and you have a double whammy), or use headlines with the words "how" or "why."

For hotels, and tourism establishments tapping into social networking, looking at fundamentals could help spell greater sharing of promotion's by following a few tips on market research.

Did the survey offer people the choice of whether they preferred: ..good news ..or bad news ... or was there the third option ..both good AND bad news? People are always going to answer that they prefer good news. We all do. What the vast majority really want, without necessarily admitting to it, is accurate information about both kinds of news, good and bad. If people really only looked for good news, or for bad news, they would be seriously misinformed.
