While China's Great Wall spans a huge distance, the internet spans the globe and now comes the 'Paywall.'
Modern media has been fast to voice out the death of print media, online news has taken time to evolve and news outlets looking to cash in on the outlet are still struggling to find their feet.
Paywalls are slowing being implemented into the process, which essentially block access unless you pay for content. So far it's a mixed bag and given the growing amount of blogging and re-newsing or recycled news, it remains a mixed result.
Throw in hybrid sites which combine free and paid content and it becomes even more confusing. As for now the wall looks to be some holes in it, but it's expanse cannot be ignored for better or worse.
