According to CNN International three bombs have gone off in the Southern tourist border town of Sungai Kolok.
CNN is reporting at least 4 dead and 118 wounded.
The report goes on to say the police are citing drug gangs back of a recent crackdown by the new government of Yingluck Shinawatra.
The border area is frequented by Malaysian and for those not familiar with Southern Thailand is far from the resort destinations of Phuket and Koh Samui.
