Thailand's Transport Ministry has announced a delay in the first test run of the next airport express train to December 5. Originally trial operations were to have commenced in August; with likely regular services now pushed into the 1st quarter of 2010.
With the introduction of services between Suvarnbhumi airport and the city station in Phayathai, fares have been announced at THB 150; while currently the taxi trip ranges from THB 300-400. Express airport trains have been successfully introduced and operate is Asian gateway cities such as Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
