As I walked through Rajprasong intersection on Sunday in Bangkok I was startled by the contrast of time. Just a week ago the red shirt demonstrators had their main stage on the site, and today Bangkok residents and volunteers had taken to the streets to clean up the horrific aftermath.

In what started as a grass root move, locals learned of the clean up through social networking sites like Facebook, SMS's and Tweeter. Even tourists were seen pitching in to help as roads, sideways, poles and fences were being scrubbed and garbage piled high.

Bangkok was once again for a moment seeming like the city we all know and love.

As the BTS Skytrain and MRT open again, businesses start to roll out and banks taking customers the mending process is on the way back. I'd have a hard time telling friends and family not to come to Thailand after seeing the spirit of the people on a sunny day in the nation's capital.

As you can see from our site, no demonstations happened at all in Phuket and Pattaya. In Bangkok the hotels in key commercial areas are reopening and there is no reason to not travel to Thailand.
