Summer in Phuket's clean up campaign 'Keep Phuket Clean' is going monthly with a schedule for the remaining half of 2009 released; and the August 6th set for the next effort. The organizers are expecting over 5,000 volunteers at 28 locations throughout the island.
Clean up days are set on the first Thursday of the month with dates being September 3, October 1 , November 5 and December 3. Greater participation has been seen from local municipalities, schools and other organizations which are having a positive impact at the grassroots level.
