With a reported 50% of all global Boeing and Airbus aircraft orders now headed to Asia, an acute shortage of skilled pilots is being forecasted.
Recent quotes by Boeing estimate that over 180,000 new pilots would be required in the Asia Pacific region during the next 20 years.
Demand is fast outpacing supply as the recruitment process is becoming tougher given many Asian's consider the line of work too ordinary as a career.
Expect a continued stream of foreign nationals from the economically challenged North American and European sectors to provide experienced professionals in the skies above.
