Dawn has broken over the troubled city of Bangkok as overnight blazes have destroyed parts of Central World Shopping Mall and a variety of banks, government offices, media outlets and commercial complexes.
Two hotels have reported damage with Centara Grand and Century Park Hotel sustaining arson attacks.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand will be closed on Thursday and Friday, and public holidays have been announced in the nation's capital for both days.
An overnight curfew was imposed on the city along with 23 province in the country, though Phuket and the southern region where no violence has taken place were not included.
