Popular hospitality professional Daniel Meury has been appointed as Managing Partner of the new Malaiwana Beach Club.

Meury served as General Manager of the upscale Chedi (now The Surin) hotel for a number of years.

The move indicates the strategic importance Stephen Paine and the luxury Malaiwana development is placing on the venue which recently soft opened.

Nai Thon beach is seeing a surge in new projects with the internationally managed Pullman Arcadia Hotel under development.

A second branded property in the area is expected to be announced in the near future.

Beach clubs continue to garner attention after the stunning success of Twinpalms Catch and the tie up of Surin's StereoLab and IndoChine,
