A much needed train link between the city and Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is underway.

Completion has been reported to be set for mid 2013 according to the Jakarta Post. Travel time is estimated to be 45 minutes.

For now the service will utilize a commuter link but an express train is now under study by the government.

Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport express train continues to see increasing traffic after a delayed opening, though most passengers opt for the Phayathai service versys the city check in facility at Makkasan.
