AirAsia And Jetstar Rise Above Legacy Carriers

If this is not a sign of the times, than clearly the stodgy mindset of traditional airline carries is doomed.

According to a survey by respected international market research firm AC Neilson low-cost carriers AirAsia and JetStar have overtaken Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific in terms of brand reputation.

Certainly the shift in passenger recognition is that an influx of travelers now choose to fly the LCC's due to substantially lower ticket prices.

The world turned upside down after the Global Financial Crisis and inter-Asia and domestic travel are on the cutting edge trend.

Numbers don't lay and perhaps one of the key reasons behind the brand influence is many passengers don't have any connection to the legacy airlines, as they remain loyal to the LCC's.

In my opinion cheap travel is a great thing and more power to AirAsia and Jetstar for opening up the skies to a new age of travel.
