Bangkok's Platinum Group is developing a retail mall in Samui named The Wharf.
An opening is planned by the end of this year, on a 10-rai parcel of land.
In a recent new article in the Bangkok Post Platinum's President Somboon Wongrassamee said the company is planning two new hotels in Samui as well.
One property is upper midscale with 100-key and the second is an upscale pool villa resort.
Further plans call for property related developments in the condominium sector and luxury villas on the horizon.
In Bangkok the group operates the Platinum Fashion Mall and own the Novotel Platinum Hotel.
