Former CBRE resort sales head Charlotte 'Charlie' Filleul is headed to Malaiwana to head up sales and marketing. The luxury development of 19 estate villas in Nai Thon operates in the same space as Trisara and the upcoming Istana villas. There are plans to launch additional residences and a beach club in the future.

Malaiwana's developer is also the man behind the Phuket International Academy which is shaping up to be a serious competitor to the British International School and continues to be bullish about investment into Phuket.

Congratulations Charlie. Perhaps the first of many quality real estate personnel to move away from the generally stagnant nature of day to day property operations.

That's a funny question Craig, only Charlotte and the heads at CBRE could answer it, probably with different answers. We don't know her compensation and the organisational structure at CBRE, let alone if she enjoyed the work etc...
I hope she makes a success of it, Malaiwana could be something very special but nowadays I'd assume it's not exactly an easy sell for real estate developers.
