Thailand's Revenue Department has issues a warning to businesses engaging in E-Commence to file correct tax returns.
According to widespread media reports the agency has been building a targeted database of targeted internet sites and a crackdown is looming.
A grace period has been offered to those looking to come into the tax stream with minimal penalties.
Otherwise for companies caught out, the combination of penalties, fine and interest remains a strong deterrent.
It's unclear whether hotel or villa booking sites are part of those E-Commerce businesses, but this action has become a talking point on the island's property scene.
