Starwood's Westin brand is introducing new green oasis type lobbies for their hotel properties.
A key element of this are vertical gardens which attract a growing number of earth friendly travelers.
From their market research the chain found that the offering both offers a relaxed chill zone and improved surrounding air quality.
A number of Westin hotels in the US are rolling out the new initiative this year and a global pick up is expected to see it go international in 2013.
