Bangkok Singapore Airfare Price War Looms

There is much speculation that Singapore Airlines new budget carrier Scoot will set off a price war on the Bangkok Singapore route.
According to a piece in today's Bangkok Post, the route which will go into service on July 5th is already under heavy ticket demand.
Expectations are that Thai and AirAsia will respond to the launch with low-cost prices.
The entry of Scoot comes at a challenging time for Thai Airways International who have been registering significant operating losses.
