Major Malaysian conglomerate YTL Corp Bhd have announced plans to inject a number of assets into its hospitality geared property affiliate YTL Land and Development within this year.

Aimed at growth into hotel grade assets the firm has a major Koh Samui site which it had originally partnered with now defunct financial house Lehman's on and earlier this year acquired the former partners remaining shares.

The group continues to have an interest in Phuket's Chedi which last year ceased management by GHM and many speculate will eventually come into a newly formed management entity.
