It had to happen sooner or later and now brand maven Richard Branson has launched a chain of four star lifestyle hotels.

Using North America as a platform with a development strategy to have 25 hotels over the next 7 years, the company is targeting gateway cities.

Conversions rather than new build's are the growth engine that see Anthony Marino who has a background in the VC (venture capital) sector appointed as Executive Director.

The hospitality side is covered by President and COO Raul Leal who was the catalyst of boutique operator Desires Hotels.

New York's Wall Street and London's Fleet Street are buzzing about a dedicated investment fund being put together to fast track expansion.

In Asia Branson has been quoted in the regional press as saying he will be bringing the brand to Asia as well.
