Fast growing Hawaiian chain Outrigger has announced two new hotel appointments with Pieter van der Hoeven moving from the Rawai property up to Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort. Taking over from Pieter at Outrigger Serenity Terraces Resort is Albert Chan. The Laguna property will be open and running by the end of 2009 in time for high season.
Speaking to Darren Edmonstone who heads up the chains Asian office the brand is growing quickly with their existing hotel in Bali performing well and a second on the way up. Other locations they are keying into are Sanya on Hainan island (China's emerging tropical island destination) and Vietnam which is surging with renewed investment interest.
